    winter

Uh Oh! Only two pages today, are you Northeners hunkering down for the winter? It was cold this AM 32 degrees f but did hit 75 f in the PM in central California. I guess it is time to build and fix what we broke. This stuff never ends is my guess!

I am hoping to get a build done before winter sets in and run it.

Nope, on the coast. Still damn cold in the mornings but looking forward to 80 on the weekend. I hate winter with the rain and the girls all bundled up! Can't see a darn thing!

It amazes me how everyone is so afraid of our hurricanes. We get days advance warning, unlike Tornadoes! We don't get earthquakes and we rarely have huge forest fires. It rarely freezes and then only in the dead of night for an hour or so. The average high temperature in the summer is 92 degrees. It's hotter and more humid in New York and Minnesota than here. So I guess I'll just put up with those danged hurricanes! I've lived here since 1981 and only evacuated once and that one did next to no damage. You can have yore cold weather brotha! I lived in it for 38 years and then made it to paradise!

Ok so Calif. has earthquakes, weirdos, gangs, near bankruptcy, etc. But at least our shoes don't try to eat us...Alligators?

Now don't take that the wrong way. I lived in Florida for 2 years and yes I liked it for the most part.

Drag Boat Bob: Atascadero, 20 miles north
Sailr: We have zero humidity in Calif. but our state tax is going up 10 percent as a loan to the govenator and we get it back on our tax return with no interest. This state sucks but I haven't found one yet to relocate to. Humidity on the East coast kills me and middle of the US reminds me of the Wizard of Oz. Northern part, too much rain and cold, southern part too crowded. I'm liking Australia or New Zealand but my brother brought back pictures from New Zealand of fence posts sprouting, now that is humid!!!!

I used to live in Monterey, CA and would trade the fog and cooler temps over the hazy, hot and humid days that we have here in Dela-where...

I like the wizard of oz theory...Ha,Ha!

12 inches! do you have a snow blower for the driveway and an engine heater for the car? I'd be looking at electric mini snowmobiles to pass those 7 months.
