***newbie questions re motors / props / esc / batteries info required***

First up thank you all who are helping me with info to help me make my mind up on what type of hull im going to purchase in my Swap Shop thread.
Im leaning toward a Cat hull which will be powered by...

Feigao/Nemesis 9XL (1853rpm) which from what I read/told are exactly the same?
Castle Hydra 120amp ESC.
Prop will most likely be an Octura X442 or X445
Speedmaster Hardware

My questions are...

Can I use either one or two 2s 5000mah 40c lipos like the IP packs?
Would speed be expected from running 1 Lipo with this prop to be about 30-40mph?
What speeds will I expect from running both these Lipo's together? 40-50mph?
(Reason I ask will she run slower initially and handle normally so I gain confidence driving it?)

Any comments, suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Throw us a little bone...What hull are you deciding on?

...will be a cat, is that enough :-) 29" Skunk Cat, Mean Machine, Vortex are three very serious contenders. I have not yet made a firm decision but an heavily leaning towards the Skunk for maneouverability.

...Pauls Elam is a beautiful boat but a little out of my price range as I would have to buy all the electrics to finish it off.

I would suggest you go with the Mean Machine, and there are many setups on this forum if you do a search. You will have to run 4S 5000Mah. 25C or higher to obtain the speed you desire and use a smaller prop first to get an idea of temperatures and run it for 1 minute and then check temperatures

...the MM was my second choice over the Skunk. Looks like its going to be a 29"Skunk Cat, Nemesis 9xl, Castle 120amp ECS, Speedmaster hardware and Octura prop.

...hi guys, I have edited the first post in regards to the Lipos. I need some answers please regarding running one or two 2S 5000mah 7.4V 40c lipos together? I know bigger batteries more power more speed but can someone please confirm they will at least run the boat at a driveable speed?

Running these lipos together will give me 4S 5000mah 14.8v is my understanding?
