So think this ESC would work good on a 1/8 scale hydro on 8s??? not hard to water cool it.

Turnigy is just a "house brand" for Hobby City. All of the Turnigy items are made by somebody else.

Obviously there is a big price difference, but you do get what you pay for.

I'm assuming this is a monster truck esc. If that is the case, you wouldn't need a pistix.

will do, im still building the first kit which is going to be gas powered, the second and 3rd kits sit waiting silently in my computer room.. the next may be elec, then the third one nitro.

Much sawdust to make yet... (well actually not that much as they are cnc cut kits :P )

                      Hi all,

I asked Hifei regarding the pistol radios compatibilty, here is the reply :

                      Hi Mr. Mathieu Dupont,

Thanks for you concern about our products.

The 200A-G-OPTO is just designed for model airplane using, so it is not supporting the pistol radios.

                      Best Regards,

You can believe Zenith. He's a very straight shooter and very reliable. He is the owner of Hifei.

Ok, I'm getting a little lost..
I'm new to the pistix of what they do, and some say you need them but then some have said you don't..?

                          Help
I have 3 Highmodel 200A and 1 100A with bec rebadged SKY-WING escs, I bought a programing card that does not work with them..
I use the Tactic 2.4 radio and I think they are working correctly?
but I'm not sure if I'm getting full power out of them..

A Pistix is needed if you are using a Pistol TX with an esc that is made for car, or airplane use. A HiModel esc is one of them. You will not need a Pistix adaptor if you use an esc made for boat. I have a Tactic 2.4Ghz Pistol Tx , a HiModel 200 amp like your, and mine do need a Pistix.
You can get a Pistix Adaptor here.

Most of the time all you need to do is put a rubberband on the throttle finger lever to hold it in the REV position and then all works.

I think that is about all the pistix does...reverses the signal. Obvioulsy Andy K knows how it works.

Or just use a stick radio and all is fine.
