Please explain how to free up a drive sys

Im new to boats and i just don't understand how you guys are doing the drive systems.I mean it seems to me if your motor was not mounted exactly perfect the shaft would be resting/putting pressure on the stuff tube thus causing binding or drag.I just don't see how one could get a motor to mount absoultly perfectly in line with the stuff tube.
Also what are the different ways you guys are using to connect motor shafts to shafts to props.I know you can use a coupler or u-joints.Are there other ways like solder, glue and sleves?
Reason im asking is I have a mini-c and two mini-v's.They are all stock and they all run very different because one's drive turns more free"less drag" than the others. It runs very well. The last one runs poor.I can tell there is more drag/binding in the drive sys.How can I smooth out the drives?
    THAVKS!

Do you lube the shafts? That's apart of maintenance.

Is the drive system lined up? Can you post pics of the problematic boat? Both inside and the back and a side view of the hardware? That way we can help you identify the problem.

I can't see with my eyes any place where the drive apears to be out of line, but it must not be perfect. I don't think I would be able to take pix with enough quality to show weather or not the drive is in line.

Do you have a digi cam? If so your digi cam has a feature called MACRO ( the flower symbol ) It allows you to take close up pics other than using a zoom without blurring the image.
