    Lipo batt works with 550 brushed motor, esc?

    I got this scale boat, and it has brushed motor, and a reg esc. It is running on 8.4v nicd batt. Will it be possible to use lipo 2s batt on it?

      SUre. Voltage is voltage, no matter what kind of battery it is. It will probably be slower since you were running 8.4v and now you will be running 7.4v, but it will run longer

          That is exactly what i want to do, run longer ... I have 3s as well , i will try them too. Thanks for the info.
