    H&M Maritimo motor

I bought the Maritimo (37"x10.6") from Ray and thinking about the motor now. I bought one Feigao 580 8L (1649 kv) to run on 5s with 646,447/3, 225... for general use and 6s with 442,445,645 (cut), 220...if I want to go faster. What do you think?
ESCs I have an MGM 25035 and an ETTI 2-7s 150A (probably will not use this one).
I also have other motors to try such as NEU 1515 1.5Y (1500KV), 1527 1Y (1250 KV), (the rest I have I think they are small).
It would be great if someone can help, basically I want a Reliable and then as fast as possible setup.

    I ran a Feigao 580 10L in this H&M hull... Waiting for OSE to restock the NUE 1521 1.5y. In the mean time, i am running a KB45-8xl 1600kv with 6s1p, 6s2p, HiMod 200amp , and x445 or x646 prop.

The 580 has lots of torque.
The KB45 starts soft, and then picks up speed....

You should try the 580 since you already have it. Goodluck on the build.

      Maritimo

MY choice would be a neu 1521 1.5y run on 10 cell (110klm/h) , 5min run time. Then if you want to push the envelope run it on 12 cell for speeds in the 130-140 klm/h. Prop for the 10 cell setup octura x442/2 cupped - x646/2 barr cut , and for the 12 cell ABC 4518/3,4718/3 , Remember the 12 cell set up is in saw country so run times will be short. The Maritimo looses it once you move to a prop over 48 mm – the tail is very unstable due to prop induced issues . Good luck with your build DISAR , you are going to love the way this hull handles and rides on the water . BONEWAR

The 1527/1Y on 6s is a ROCKET!! This motor on 6s with a good prop,, will push you into the 60's no problem... I would use the 25035MGM,, i have had great luck with mgm's......

If 5s packs is all you have I would try the 580L.... I am thinking of ordering a 580L (9-10L) for 6s boats,, try it out against the 1527/1Y's......
Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

Thank you! OOW this is very fast and stable.

The 1521 1.5Y, 10S do you know which ESC?

I will try the 580 8L first on 5s, 6s, then 1527 1Y on 6s. The good thing is that this hull can move nicely even with with a small prop such a 442

Thanks Tony. How many times did you run the KB on 6s with the HM200? What are your temperatures?
Are you planning to rn the 1521 1.5y on 10s? What ESC?

For this catamaran hull go for 8S batteries and a 580 motor with 1300 kV RPM

The esc they used was a YGE , not sure which 1. They set up the boat for speed, using high rpms to achieve top speed, The cat is pushing 33100 loaded rpms at full throttle. With a high amp draw on these set ups you will need a HIGH VOLTAGE ESC to do the job. Your pick!! Bonewar
