Help me figure out the amp.

Hi guys. Please help me figure out the amp draw for this setup. Thanks!!!

    Motor: KB45 8xl 16kv
ESC: Himodel 200amp 3-7 cel (no bec)
    Batt: 6s1p
    Prop: x445, x646 ???
    Hull: 37"

I ran the above set up with the x445 prop, and a Turnigy 100amp HV. Esc got pretty hot after two minutes. Should i run x445 or x646 prop with the Himodel 200amp?

Also, the new Himodel 200 esc has 12 guage wires, 5.5mm connectors. The lipo has 10 guage wires with 4mm connectors. Clip the 4mm off, or make an adator for the lipo?

Tony, that is impossible to state. I suggest you buy an Eagle Tree or similar device, as that is the only way you will get a true measurement.

      I agree with Doug.

I'd add, say no to the adapter, and use the smallest prop you have and work up with testing. Otherwise, boom. I would also suggest running that motor on 5s.

Tony, I am not trying to bash you but you have to figure out hull design, motor condition, drivetrain, power source, wet or dry setup and prop into all the equations of amp draw. There is no simple response to your question

Its one thing to know the number of amps, its another thing to get to a good running point. Its not impossible to run a boat without a logger. The important thing is not to tax the hell out of the equipment on the first run. Make baby steps in prop increases and you will be ok.

the fact is as Steven said 6S is a bit too much, that's 35000rpm+ unloaded!!!
As for the connectors, go for the 5.5mm.
