akoni..... i would try the set-up thunda recomends... i have seen his run with a gps on a x440 and 7xl and the gps read 61mph. the thing suprised me when i was running a 1515 1y and cc240 and he ran about 7-8 mph faster on the cheap china stuff... that boat is a handfull at lower speeds but once it gets about 40 mph it settles down and is glued to the water. is was smooth as could be expected at over 60...

I'm starting to notice that in a lot of videos of this hull...it has to be flying to be smooth. Is this some sort of tuning issue or a driving technique issue? Does anyone have a smooth running TS Jolly?

Toysport makes a "tunnel flap" that mounts to the rear of the tunnel and extends it to the back of the sponsons. I have heard of this settling the hull right down and getting rid of the porpoising.

My hull came with a wedge shaped addition (looks to be epoxied in place) at the back end of the tunnel. Might this be the "tunnel flap" you're referring to?

If you have an early Toysport Jolly without the 'wedge' make up a tunnel flap like this. It completely transforms the handling of the hull and eliminates the porpoising.
My Jolly is powered by twin Ammo 2300 motors on 4S each and hits 90 KPH ( 55 MPH )

I'm running a twin on 8 xl's & CC 240's and x442's and am just breaking 50! I have the flap also - Joseph Toth was good enough to send one to me from Hungary! Really settled it down!

My son & I have 7 other boats we run but the Jolly is Dad's(mine) pride and joy!

Sweet scheme there...still trying to decide on what to do with mine decal-wise.

I'm glad to hear the tunnel flap calms this boat down. The ride pads on this thing are enormous so it should make for some decent speeds. Can't wait to get this thing together...just need OSE to get cooling jackets in.
