Question..... If I'm running 2-3s packs in series for 6s, can I plug in one 3s pack to charge the caps, then unplug and re-plug them both in for 6s? Will that reduce the spark??

Rules here in Australia demand that we run an external safety loop when racing. I found the best place to put an anti spark resistor was across the loop connections on the inside of the boat.
When the batteries & ESc are all connected prior to taping up the resistor is in circuit & charging the caps. When the safety loop is plugged in, there is no spark.
I only ever did this with one boat. I just don't bother any more because all my other setups work just fine without the resistor. I like the sound of the spark too.
The safety loop is basically your switch Nitro Val
      Cheers.
