    Setup for 1/16 Hydro

I've built a 1/16 Hydro that is 60 cm long and around 1,2 kg RTR.

I already have a 70 Amps Himodel Esc taht I would like to reuse and I want to buy Lipos and a new motor.

Is it better to use 2S or 3S?

For the motor can you suggest something cheap, possibly from Hobbyking or something like that?

    Thank you for your help.

imo I would go for 2s and something like a fiegao 8s, Tylerm (my cousin) has a 1/16 avl with an 540 8s running on 2s and a hobbyking 100amp esc

i think the prop was cut down to about a 32mm, he may chime in and confirm.

we were running it one day and it was actually a little bit wild, I put a slight inwards curve in the turnfin to settle it down which it did.

I just got an outrunner to try. Brian Baussthinks it would be great for a 1/16th scale. It is a Scorpion HK2216-12

I 'll second the outrunner option and particularly the 2221-8 on 3S. I use it in a 1/16 classic hydro with great results the full weight of the hull is 1.2kg, here's how it looks...

            Thank you for your answers....

Reaper Racing, what is the motor you are using and how many Amps Esc?

I'm thinking to buy the Turnigy inrunner around 3000 Kv from Hobbyking...

motor is a 2726kv watercooled motor and 125 amp ecs available at heard of the river r/c specialist ( ebay store ). made a small error, the hydro is a 28inch not 26.
