Quick lipo question and new to the board

Thanks. I have been reading that "Tips and Info" page for the past couple of days.

I was just thinking a 5 cell lipo pack was 14.8v total which two in series would be 29.4v (below the esc 30v rating).
But i was wrong, it's 18.5v, so two in series would be 37v something and over volt the esc.

But a but two 5 cell lipos in parallel will be 18.5v @10,000mah. So that is what i'll do.

Beside you are looking at discharged values. When fully charged each cell is typically 4.2 Volts. So 5 cells * 4.2 = 21 Volts 2 packs in series: 42 Volts.. Just enough to fry your ESC
