I have seen that these are the boat version of the EZRUN 1/8 monster truck esc's which the guys run with great success. here is a write up on the EZRUN 80A unit

I have used the 90a, version of turnigy/seaking and it works great. Never had a problem...it thermaled ONE time in a 6s setup...but that was it. They are great. Hobbywing makes the seaking/turnigy/ez run line of escs. They are all great. For the money the ezrun 150 is cheap and IS the seakin 180a (unit is the same, just with cooling added).

Rarely hear of the Seaking 180 blowing up. They ALL do it, even $700 Schulze's

I have 2 of them. Without a doubt the best speedo's I have ever owned. And I have owned a bunch of em.

If you know where I can get some more, please let me know.

              All the best,

              Ray

Onboard bec died on my 120,wired up a sbec and then the whole thing went pop.
Blew a 180 last sunday after about 12 packs through it,took a good set of lipos with it.
My other 2 180's are still working ok,at the moment.
Looking forward to results of the new versions.

just for the record, same weekend a pal blew his new Etti 150 on the first run after about 1 min. of gentle running.
Escs are the weak link on FE boats.

I blew my first ESC (Tenshock 110A ESC) recently while "gentle" running too. It seem counter intuitive but partial throttle is much harder on the ESC because efficiency decreases and heat increases. I wish I understood this better.
