    Help with esc. application

I have a Turnigy Marine 120 amp. that I purchased when they first came out. I thought I read somewhere that there was a problem with this unit and that
"HK" quit selling this unit. My application for this unit is as follows:

Andy Kunz UL125 Hydro with a AQ UL1 motor on 4S lipo and probably
a detounged X440 prop to start with. Space is at a premium in this hull and this
esc. has a BEC in it.

Any advise on the esc. would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the esc issues. But as far as the specs go, you will only be pulling a bit more than 1/2 the esc's rated specs.

Pics of unit Turingy Marine 120 amp

Heres pics of unit. Hobby King has pulled unit from their line. No explanation and they have not responded to my inquiries as to whether there is a problem/recall
on unit. I don't want to risk damaging other components in the hull.

Is this a decent unit or should I forget it and "bite the bullet"?

Just plug it and use it and keep it out of the water. If you want to return it `cause a recall,i don`t think thats your case unless still on warranty if any.The thread in the link above is about the waterproof capabilities with it,seems not very good but workable and avoidable if you take precautions. In other words i believe you are stuck with it.So just have fun with it,its already yours.....As Steve pointed out you`ll be fine with it as you have a very good safe margin with your application................

you could also seal up the ends of the rubber wrap with liquid rubber or other for a little more security
