three new FE NAMBA 2-lap records set today !!

The NAMBA District 19 Seismic Amigos held an official 2-lap time trial at Legg Lake today. Predominently a Gas/Nitro race, there were 2 FE's in attendance : Tyler Garrard from central coast and myself. Jan was there for moral support, as well as Brad [ FE Wannabe]. Tyler's HOT DF 33 beat his own P-offshore record, as well as knocking .1 sec off of Darin's standing record in P-Mono. I beat my own record in P-Sport Hydro by 2 seconds or so with the H&M but not being satisfied I took the wings off the Vegas and knocked another 2 seconds off with a time of 30.285. The most incredible run of the day was Mark Grim's nitro rigger cutting an amazing 16.9 !!! Unbelievable to see !
Another good day for FE !!!

Way to go Tony and Tyler!!!

Darin won't be upset at all. Records a set to be broken. It's only a bad sign when the records don't get broken.

Just got off the phone with Chris Grim. That 16.9 2 lap run was with their .45 crapshooter not the .90 boat that I figured it was. Even more impressive.

GREAT JOB Tyler!! I knew you'd get that eventually... Your boat rocks and you deserve it!! Nice work!

Now it's time to get that 1/2 second or so that I left on the water last time out, back... If the poor boat will hold together for a few more laps!

              Thanks Guys,

I ran what was basically a SAW set-up because I lost my 1.5D heat race motor at the nationals, so I had my 1D turning a X645. The first try netted a 28.08 time with heavy throttle chopping in the turns. The next go around I tried staying in the throttle a little more and came up with a 26.404. Went right back around for P-mono and turned a 26.616.

Needless to say the batts, motor and esc were all pretty toasty after 5 laps. Probably should have used a little less prop, but evrything survived.

Whoops, sorry Tyler, I got the times wrong; [ too much dain bramage]. 26.404 was a little better than .1 under DJ's standing 28.5 P-mono record. Apologies !!

Wow... well right on then! That's even more of a challenge! Again, GREAT JOB!

I'm not sure the Wild Thing is capable of staying on the water at those speeds... but there is one way to find out! Looking forward to November!

                    Thanks Darin,

You should see how many battery straps I have to use to keep the batteries from ejecting in case of a roll over!

No worries Tony, great to see you and Jan out at the pond.
