Ib3600 vs gp3300 batteries

Was at my local hobby shop today and they have a clearence price on old GP3300 packs. I know I have read on this forum that the old Gp3300 batteries were very good and durable cells. The 6 cell packs are green and they want 35.00 for matched packs. They have 7 cell matched packs for 40.00 but they are red in color. Would the color tell you which are the better cells? And would they be better(how about performance and durability) then the IB3600 I have now.

I don't think so I think they just changed the label.The 3300's might be slightly more durable than the 3300's but the 36oo's will most likely kick the 3300's butt for speed

from a marketing standpoint red, may mean worse. Red is shown to have the greatest response in product advertisement, or it may just mean theyre really trying to push them.......by using color tactics.

Do a voltage check, old NIMH cells that have lost charge could be junk. GP3300 cells were very good on cycle life in the past, however old cells that are even new will suffer from sitting on the shelf.
