    Dissappointing Miss Budweiser Lipo conversion

With hull designs, most people just think Vee, Cat, Hydro, and Rigger. But there’s a new kid in town. The Big Bowl! This was bone stock with dual drives on 6S ALKALINE power. It was documented on GPS at 2 MPH (margin of error +/- 2MPH).

With 3S lipo I was really expecting some excitement. But there was no noticeable increase in RPM. I proceeded immediately on to 4S lipo. I expected fireworks but got nothing. The GPS still said 2MPH! It was a real let down. There was STILL no performance improvement and still NO SMOKE! I wanted it to be like the ELECTRIC CHAIR :) After a while it started to sputter and die. This boat can’t do ANYTHING right!

Well, the joke’s over but if you want to see the Miss Toilet Bowl in action, here’s the footage!

How many of those buds did you drink before you tried it?

Damn I need one of those!!

I get tired of chasing my floatable beer cooler around the lake.

I have been known to fall asleep on my floaty raft and wake up 30 yards from the boat so I learned to tie the cooler on one foot and the boat line to the other foot. As long as I can still hear the boat stereo then I know I am within 30 yards and have enough beer to get back to the boat.

                Always something!!

Your beers going to get way too warm. Sounds like it needed more prop. A pair of x437's or something... Cheers for tryin, that rocked...

Did you forget the prop? The r"s are there! Try a sixer of Coronas and it will work fine.

No beer was spilled so all is good - maybe if you pushed it a little faster you could get 4-5 mph.

I too thought about getting this rig to convert it to a RC drink delivery torpedo...your video is educational, thanks for sharing the anguish.
it sure sounds noisy, like plastic gears not meshing right (not a diagnosis, just a sound that I'm familiar with). The drive probably needs a rethink/redesign, at least that's been my experience converting consumer toys to lipo/brushless/faster.
If you crack it open further, let us see the innards...like electronics and drives.

                            cheers!

I was cleaning out the garage, closing up the cottage for the season. I went to chuck this thing in the garbage and noticed big clumps of dried seaweed on the propellers. Darn, I can't believe I didn't check that! Looks like we'll never how fast the Tidy Bowl man's ride could've been. But on it's descent to the bottom of the garbage can I think it reached a new speed record better than 2 MPH! Thanks for laughing with me!
