how many of you guys are water cooling the himodel esc,s
i only run a small fan on top if i need it, but most of my setups are only around 85-90 amps average draw and i only run for 2-3 minutes
after a run the esc is usally around the same temp as the motor (115f)

The whole point of this thread was to see if anyone has heard of this esc. So pulling it apart if no one has one isnt an option, i just ran across this on youtube . So buying it doesnt even look like an option as of now.. I love the " asian "esc's. After owning several hacker's & cc's ,to each his own.. Theyve treated me well for fifty bucks.... Infact two are powering my almost 70 mph maritimo as some of you know.and it costed me a total of $120.00 after waterproofing and cooling both. Ive had more problems with cc than hi model. What good is "warranty" when its not in the boat and in the mail..my warranty is 3 more esc's in the tackle box ready to drop in. I agree that this one as not being tested, or at least by "us". But i would have never known unless i posted this.

Wolf, your point is well taken and again I state take some of these Asian claims with a grain of salt and who is the manufacturer and his credibility?

Has anybody figured out where to get the Majoda controllers? I googled for them and all I got was the videos. They've posted videos all over the world.

"majoda" probably means "mystery" in polish or something! :-)

I agree the Himodel is a good ESC especially for the price. I found a similar ESC on here http://www.lightflightrc.com/ that I reference for the amp ratings for the Himodel...

                                "SP 200 Amp ESC
This ESC is a great match for large motors that draw up to 200 amps.
                                170 amp Max 5S-6S
                                140 amp Max on 7S"

I think if you stay within these guidelines and keep it dry, you shouldn't have any issues.
I don't know if it is the same, but I figure better safe than sorry.
