Converting the Chinese square drive stinger to 3/16!

You know those BLACK stingers that come on some of the chinese boats? Well, they are the crappy square drive arrangements. I discovered the other day that you can take the shaft out of the stinger and then using the appropriate size punch, drive out the teflon bushings inside it. THEN, use a supervee or speedmaster brass 3/16" bushing in it. Works great! I was about to buy a new stinger for my 25" Prince when I thought there had to be a better way!

I just took one apart you can use the drive shaft as a slide hammer and pull the 2 small bushings out the end easily

Good idea to use the shaft instead of a punch. Thanks!
