    Info on Twin prop rotation...

    whats the ups and downs on both type of setups:looking from the back;

    1)left-counter.......right-clockwise

    2)left-clockwise.....right-counter

    Tried searching but nothing,or maybe i`m just blind
    Have being told #1 gives more speed and #2 more stability.Let me know,...thanks,Albert/karfrik

    correct all around:) That is on catamaran hulls. I have never messed with the combo on a V hull.

        I may be wrong, but I think the theory behind it is the inward rotating props are more stable because the props are in a sense fighting each other, pushing "in" on the boat causing it to inherently go in a straight line.

          I have never tried this on rc boats, but on a full size boat, inboard rotation will provide more bow lift and top speed. Outboard rotation will have better handling and will give more stern lift.

            I run a twin cat - don't know which is better! When you have the props turning outboard it will raise the bow and inboard it will lower the bow!

            I sport run so don't know if there is a speed difference, I think i read that when the props are turning inboard it runs smoother and corners better! It would make sense to me that with the bow out of the water you are going to be faster!
