united hobbies has their hextronik 120amp esc for only 50$....the only thing is i think its out of stock and they sometimes take a while to get back in stock....they also have a couple other esc's that will work though...

UH is showing the Hextronic ESC as coming in on 7/17. Have one on order myself.

would i need the pistix for this esc......and watercooling would be difficult too......and its not waterproof......thats why i was considering the pulso....watercooled.....waterproof.....and compatibale with the trigger radio.......... i wonder if the hex120 could use the sv cooling plates

Purchase a CC Hydra or an OEMRC Sentillon for up to 100-120 amps ...do not look at cheap ESC's such as Hextronic..my 2 cents!! Plus the type of boat, V hull , power, prop is important as far as ESC choice is concerned

you will not need a pistix for the hex.

You do require a Pistix for all Hextronic ESC's if you plan to use a pistol type rc unit

I can not speak for 2.4 ghz radios and receivers, but Pistics are required for 75 mhz.

Ahh I see. It must be a spektrum thing. I have noticed other issues that are solved by the 2.4ghz radio since I have moved over to it.
