    Prop change or weight transfer?

So I have a Aquacraft Supervee 27 and a Traxxas Blast and they are nothing alike. I recently started running the Blast again and bought from OSE the prop upgrade kit that allows you to run standard props. I went with the recomended Octura 430 and coupled it with a 19T brushed motor. The boat is powered with either an Orion 3800 30C lipo or a 5000mah Nimh pack. The lipo pack is alot lighter and enambles the boat to get up on plane after the front of the boat starts to come down but it is a struggle. I usually just give the boat a toss. The NIMH pack is heavy, never gets up on plane and makes the boat seem like a dog. My question, is...how can I get the boat to get on plane faster? I was thinking that since the battery is centrally located up towards the front of the boat that the extra weight of the NIMH would keep the front down so the boat could get on plane faster. Battery placement is fixed. Would a better prop suit my needs? Could it be balanced and sharpened in a different fashion to help this little boat? Thanks for the help.

What is your COG point and are you adjusting the batteries or weight to this point.

I'll need to measure my COG but the batteries are in a fixed location for this boat. The lipos take a bit to get up on plane and the Nimh pack is too heavy.
