    lipo winter storage

My first lipos will be here this week. I've heard putting 40% in them and putting them in the refrigerator for the winter is ideal for winter storage. Is there any validity to this theory? If not what, is the preferred way to store them for 4-5 months? TIA

Storage at 50% is fine but I would see no reason for putting them in fridge. I know people used to say put your regular batteries like AA's in there but with LiPo cells just keeping them in a cool dry place like basement is perfect. Putting them in fridge I guess would be ok but I would think when you pull them out they would condensate like a glass of iced tea. except the moisture would be on the inside. Not good. I know one day I brought my boat out of the basement and took it outside on a hot summer day and there were water beads all over my esc. I decided to let it dry out for a couple hours before running.
