Gundert thru hull pickup...

I used the twin pick up on my 41" mono and it looked like plenty of water was getting through the system.

I put one in my Titan 33. I may be wrong, but I though it may have caused chine walk on the boat. Hard to say because it was my first build and I was learning how to set the boat up. I ended up pulling it off the boat and going with the rudder pick up only. The pickup seemed to work fine on my son's Mean Machine cat.Mike Chirillo

Ive got the MHZ pickups on a 53" cat that work wondefully, but they are flush with the bottom of the hull. Thats interesting you mentioned chine walking becaust that was one of my concerns, maybe not chining specifically, but if it effected the ride of a V-hull.
Nauti, did you make adjustments during your removal of the pickup when you went to the rudder? What Im trying to ask is, did you run it with the same settings before and after the pickup was removed and did you notice any ride attitude changes? Or being the first build it was all a mystery... which often happens on your second... third.. and fourth builds too..
I love that Titan Donzi scheme hull. BEAUTIFUL!Comment

I played with the set up before and after I removed it. It just seemed like I had a much easier time getting the set up right when I removed it. It did hang down about 1/8 inch below flush. I think it caused a little drag on one side. I probably could have made it work, but I decided to do with out it. It was mounted on the starboard side. Centered about 1-1/4" from the transome and 1-1/4 inch from the keel. I am no expert by any means so hopefully someone else will speak up.Mike Chirillo
