    Need Shockwave 26 ESC advice.

I need to decide tonight on an esc for a Shockwave 26 I am getting used. The guy I am getting it from took off the strudder and converted it to a straight shaft drive. He had a 45mm carbon prop on it and burned up the esc. Other than that, its all stock. I don't plan to mod it really, I just want something to play with when the fishing slows down.
So my question is, should I spend the extra money for a Jeti Navy 60 or is the stock esc OK? I have rc planes and trucks, but I am completely new to boats.

The main reason I am asking is because my Monster GT nitro monster truck also needs parts. Believe it or not, my better half doesn't understand all the money I spend on my "toys".

    Thanks

I say get the stock ESC. :D
It's cheap, It has reverse, It's waterproof, and it can handle 10 cells. Maybe it burned up because he ran it on 12 cells. two 6 cell packs are more common than two 5 cell packs.
