If you go to the Aeromarine shop in Seaford De, Remy has one in complete working order in the shop."A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

I've got a Mini X running. I'm using the Aquacraft UL-1 motor and esc, speedmaster hardware and running on 12/14 cells or 4S. For the 4S, I've run 2 x2S2P 5000 and a single 4S2P 4000 (25C). Props - mainly a K40 CF. I have taken it up to a 45 CF but it was way to much. I'm working on a prather 215 and an x438.
It is a very nice hull, but narrow. This was my first build and a learning experience. The boat does have a tendancy to torque roll, handles chop well, turns on a dime at high speed but hooks if you drop off the throttle. The boat seems to prefer a CG a bit forward, but I'm still working on getting it lined out. I had it running real well when I burned both the ESC and motor - not 100% sure why (1 x 4S 4000 25C w/ a K40 cf prop and a very short run). It looks like the motor seized - I found parts of free metal or magnets inside and that overload the ESC. I can post some picts later if you are interested. Overall, I love the hull. It also has some self-righting properties which is nice. Oh, I also added a sub hatch.
I think I am going to move the motor back a bit this winter to give me a bit bette adjustment for the CG. Right now the motor sits about at 30 %.SV-27, Challenger 31, Mini-Cat ECO, Mini-xXx,Comment

Tiqueman,
As soon as the water level in my pond come up, I'll get you a vid and some running pictures. I'm going to start playing with props (x637 and a few others). Just ordered an eagle tree logger so I'm not guessing as to what the system is doing. Also, I'm plannning on pulling the turn fins to see what the boat does. I tried it once and I saw no difference in handling.SV-27, Challenger 31, Mini-Cat ECO, Mini-xXx,Comment

Tiqueman,
How's the X coming along? Just got mine back in the pond for a quick run, between the rain and wind the ponds been white capped. Wanted to see what the logger did. Ran the boat w/ a CF 40 and an X638. Neutral strut, tabs level, a bit more than 1/16" off the bottom. Overall ran very well, handled the chop. Max amps 38, max watts 480, ESC temp 85 f, motor 93 F; battery packs 110 F to 113F. I used 2 x 5000 DTX NiMH cells - mainly for testing. Am planning to try it with 2 x 2s2P 25C 5000 packs tomorrow. The boat does want to roll to the right, need to keep some left rudder input to keeep it straight - I need to look into this a bit more. Handles turns at full power well; need to watch letting power off in turns cause it will hook. I also moved my CG back as far as I can go - maybe about 29%.SV-27, Challenger 31, Mini-Cat ECO, Mini-xXx,Comment

Seadweller,
I was hoping to get the hull but it was sold. A member I purchased a SV from had it.. but I was too late. Someday I will build one. My plan was to strip the SV and use everything from it. In the mean time, please keep me posted as to how yours is working out. I love that hull.
As for rolling, have you put the right tab down yet? Should help a lot. Just a bit at a time until shes level. I started the SV out the same way, everything neutral. Only thing I have moved is cog and right tab. Now she runs very nice.Comment

Thanks Dieagoboy, I will let you know when Im ready. It will be a while. I picked up a little something else for now (build page to come within the next couple months)... should keep me and my finances busy for a while... Gosh I hope I find a job soon. Too much to build and not enough flow....Comment
