villian on 5s

Has anyone tried a Traxxas Villian EX on 5s Lipos. I an currently running 2 8.4 NiNH batteries and the RPMs are not there. I do have the cooling coils and a set of 447 l/r PROPS but I need more RPM. It just seems sluggish. This boat has the ability for a 2/3 pack setup . Any thoughts????

If its sluggish with 2 8.4v nimh packs and its got the stock equipment, then your just about at the boats limits.

Look into a pair of lower turn motors or a single brushless set up if you want more speed and power.

Yes it is stock stuff but any idea on the turns of these motors? Won't 5s kick it in the ass?

I don't think you would want to put 5s in that....The ESC is not rated for that high of voltage. http://www.traxxas.com/products/acce...ies_evx2-M.htm
