If your setup really runs 20-25amps you can use a 50amp max esc no problem. I dont think the inline fuse would do what you think it would. Also I also dont know where you could put it to have it affective. I have heard you only want to use half of esc rated max amp -
After my first villain fire and later installing the tekin 432m, I put a 25amp fuse on the positive lead of the battery harness. I did it just because I was afraid of catching some weeds and burning wires, however I never blew the fuse, heck I still have it. I'm not sure it's necessary and really probably just adds more resistance to your setup.
I would just use big wire, at least 12 gauge, keep em short, use deans connectors, lubricate often and be easy on it, if for example you catch weeds.BOATS CAN FLY AND SHOULD!Comment

thanks for responding.i was asking because i was moving motor and electrics around and being very sloppy and anxious got the ballon on my reciever caught on flex shaft. thought fuse would be helpful.after ''incident" i spent some time moved electrics around and no longer use ballon as now i only get about a teaspon of water. i am using all short 12gage with deans.heat is not really a problem was just curios about back up.i dont plan on making that mistake again but only being involved in rc since christmas i have had to many of said ''incidents"Comment
