    Motor diameters...

    Anyone know what he approximate diameter of 380, 540, 580, etc motors are?
    The RTR Nightmare- Electric King of Shaves
    Now with 540s- 62mph
    New setup- Etti 150A's, Turnigy 2600s, 5S, X442s and a whole lot of cooling hoses

      Yes, BUT not always exactly those sizes. For example some 540 motors are 36.00mm, some are 36.10 or more. Which makes fitting water jackets sometimes a challenge.

        yea didnt think of that, ammo motors state 36mm but the normal o.s.e water jackets wont fit,but he did ask approximate

          I understand he said approx. I was just trying to clear up the jacket problem. Its a big issue for me, people using jackets that are not tested for certain motors.

            i can see that it would be, i wounder if they could supply 2 different size o rings with some of the jackets, having the ID of one set .5 mm smaller.

                  Yup. I figure I can fit a motor that is 2.25" in diameter, depending on the can length and drive angle.
                  My only real limit would be battery space

                    if running cooling jackets look in the o.s.e shop it will give you the dia of the jackets as that will be the true dia of what will fit
