    Jolly Cat tests.

I will be on the water today for the first time since 5/17. I only have 2 sets of packs. I have to add a cell to each of my 7s and it's just to late. I am starting with the octura v-940 3blade. The 440-3 dont fit the drive dog. I am only going 30 seconds before the first temp check. Of course I will be taking video. I will wait untill the second set of packs to record. It's a new boat and has been a while since I have driven. Wish me luck.

I have been rained out today guys. It is MrsSjfe's off week. I won't be avalable to test untill Tuesday afternoon. It will give me more time to get the 3 set of pack built anyway.

You will not be happy with the v940/3 prop on this hull. It will drive the bows down - assuming you can even get the boat on plane. Buy a cheap points file at the local auto store and file the x440/3's slot until it fits the drive dog. Otherwise you will have a wasted trip to the pond.

Thanks for the heads up Fluid. I have all of the grim racer props pluss almost a complete collection of the CF props. I will grind down the hub of the 440-3 and try the 3blade GR prop.... I am also thinking about the 45mm cf. I will be getting about 30k in rpm @ the prop on that 11XL. Any suggestions would be great.:)

                In the water.

The water was a mess today. I got just over 3 minutes of running in before I decided it was to risky to keep it in. I ran it about 1/2 throttle the whole time. I was worried it would be to much for the esc. Temps where great though. 98 and 102 on the packs 108 on the esc and 124 on the motor. The Grim Racer 3 blad prop launched and hooked up nice. I look foward to some clean tighter water to collect some gps numbers. The hull handled the chop great I never worried about it going over. I had the cg way up front. It turns on a dime. I am going to give it a shot tomorrow night just before dark.

Pictures looks good, but is it a boat or a plane? Really ruff, wow!

That wind made her look more like a kangaroo than a cat. I know how it is when you're all set to run and the conditions are not on your side... You run anyway!!
                      :D

                      Great test run Tom.
