You can't hurt my feelings Piranaha2. In order for that to happen I'd have to have at least a little respect for you. :D JK :p

I'll tell ya what we do.
1st figure out how long the leads need to be and cut them.

Take 1 lead from a pair and strip about 1/2" of insulation off of it about 1.5" back from the end. Lay the 2nd lead of the pair beside it and cut and strip it so that you can solder it to the exposed wire of the first lead. You can use a few strands of wire to bind them together and then solder them up. Do all five pairs the same way, put your heat shrink on the splices and add the connectors of your choice.
If you have a hammerhead tip I would use it. You want to make sure those connections are good.
There are other ways to do it, but this one has served us well.
A little tip..... If you tin the wire on the end before you strip it, it won't fray when you do. Makes things a little easier.

PS How ya doing Lee?? Tell Ms. Kate we said hello.

IMO I would run the gold plated bullet connectors instead of the deans on that controller. OSE sells them.

...going out right now for a Hydra 240 1st run.....that's after a trip to Boston Mass then to Providence R.I. and a few trips to the local hardware store......$100 later and the Hydra 240 is soldered up and ready.....I'll be back on with a GPS max speed later......

Thanks for the help Doug.:D You made things a whole lot easier on me. What a beach soldering that 10awg though. Ended up using an 80W iron with a 3/8" tip. Went out w/GPS and smoked 14- IB4200's after just 2 laps. Looked like a barbeque grill !!! And only 30.2 MPH !!! Motor was 101F, ESC was 95F and packs were 130ish. Put the 12-DTX 4200's in and ran 34.4 MPH. Motor was 103F, ESC was 98F and packs were around 110F and that was after about 8 laps. I was using a 42mm CF prop because I was trying out the Hydra240 and the 14 cells for the first time. And for the record, the Shockwave 26 EP RS was 10.1 MPH on 6 cells and 13.3 on 7 cells.

lol....isn't great finding things out the hard way? I just measured my battery leads total length from ESC to packs and it was 13". Obviously I need to cut them down some.

OK, shortened ESC to motor leads by an inch and shortened the ESC to battery leads by 5".......ran her today with GPS and she only gets 30mph......she's actually slower on 14cells than on 12 and I'm running a CF 42mm prop......Hydra 240 still doesn't get above 100F, the motor stays around 105F tops and the packs still go to around 120F.....what gives?????

Thanks Tom......I'm just not so impressed with the 30mph....she goes but I expect more out of her......I had to go for a swim tonight....the Titan just quit and the Shockwave went out of range going to get her......300 or 400 yards out .....pushed the shockwave 10 feet towards shore and she started right up.....figures.
