I was wondering what the majority of you guys do when you travel on a plane. How do you bring your model. This will be the first time for me bringing it on a plane. I don't really want to check it in i would rather carry it on with me. Just curious what the best way is.

I am looking to take it with me. I work a week out of the month in a different state. How do you think security would be if I carried the boat on. I would check in the batteries and radio.Comment

When I fly I pack the boats in a box and check it. Make sure you refer to the airline's checked baggage size restrictions, you may be charged an oversized luggage fee if the box is too large. I send the LiPos ahead of me, usually UPS but sometimes USPS.

You now cannot put lipos in checked baggage either. You can have ONE extra battery for your laptop in carry on but I doubt your lipo would qualify.
A couple of years ago, I bought a BUNCH of lipos while in China and brought them back in a checked bag. Now that's prohibited.Mini Cat Racing USA

If you have an address I think I would just ship it all UPS. Forget the plane stuff. Of course....UPS treats stuff a little better than airline loaders....arrrgggg. Expect it to be thrown out of the plane belly and may hit the tarmac from 10 feet up.
Ever seen the broke my guitar video? Funny stuff.Comment

Fedex ground is a better solution than UPS. UPS could break an anvil I think plus they are really high priced. I use fedex ground for everything too big to go USPS Priority in a small box. Once you get over 1 cubic foot, USPS priority mail is crazy stupid high priced. Very weird because USPS contracts with Fedex to haul their stuff!!Mini Cat Racing USA
