yes :) most likely its both. since not all stingers are not created equal, the actual answer will depend on which strut you decide on.

I am looking at the 3/16 stinger on OSE for a 24" project. Would It be 1 5/8?

The old style is 1 5/8" The newer one(they recently changed designs) is 1 3/4" as near as I can tell with a caliper. It's on a boat.

You still working on that secret project from last year??

It Is on hold right now while redesigning my STV mod vp hull. I am trying to make a stinger work on this hull Instead of the aquacraft strut...

Smock, did you see the r/c STV mod vp hull I built? It Is here and at RR In the build sections. I am trying to see If I have room for the stinger on this hull. It has a setback transum and will get the 3/16 strut If It will fit...

I am making another hull with alot of changes. I am allmost done...

Here Is the first one. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...read.php?t=685

It ran preety good just a little wet with a 700. I have made some changes that look more scale and should make the hull air out alot better. Also this hull can take alot more power than a 700 will push.
