Very Cool Kevin. Congratulations on a great build and getting her dialed in!

I've been on vacation and I cant wait to get home and start working my gas Sniper.

Do you recall how high up your stuffing tube hole was drilled on the transom. Does 1/2" sound about right (keel to hole centerline)? Did you elongate it a bit to allow for strut height adjustments?

        Mike,
My strut is exactly parallel with bottom, CG is 32%, about the strut hole, its depend on your strut side, but i prefer after strut installed, its 1-2mm higher than the bottom for less drag and easier to setup later, btw, working in Sniper hull is piece of cake, because its borned stable for high speed, one more key: like you already know Sniper hull is draging down alot when its turn, so i place my rudder a lil bit before the prop for tighter turn, so its will turn even just a lil bit of steering for less drag and i got it

Thats awesome Kevin.......... , I am at the 70mph mark myself at 2 x 11S using a X460/3 cupped prop and 3 year old crappy 20c cells that I have beat the piss out of . I want the 80mph badge before I tuck things away for the winter . my ABC2616 will give that to me hopefully without blowing the batteries up or worse.................. Jeez I love this hull

                I will order some 2 x 12S 40C/70C this winter for next year . 2 x 6S , 2 X 4S and 2 X 2S I want to keep the leads as short as possible

Hey my friend time for a sinister looking paint job for that bad boy

                  Kevin, that boat rocks
Not that I expected anything less from you.

That vid is a reminder of something funny that I often giggle about. When i tell people that my boats are electric they often say "oh that is great, it must be nice and quiet" Then I drop the 4S rigger in the pond.
Listen to the prop scream !!

Looks very nice. I use the same set up. Flat strut 30% to 32% on the CG. I run with the rudder tucked just a tad to keep the nose up in turns.

I also cut the rudder at a slight angle from the leading edge to trailing edge (LE longer than TE) and then round off the bottom. At speed this hull can lean over on its left side and the rudder work prevents that.

                      Fast boats, I like them!!

                          Great info guys!

Any advantage using a tapered rudder over a wedge style with this hull or is it just personal preference?

Also this hull is one of the few where I see most people running 1" tabs on the outside and 1-1/2" on the inside. Does the 1" tabs help reduce the tendency of this hull to bow steer when running wet or does it just reduce drag in the turns?
