    Question reguarding lipo batt charging

    Hi guys.
The batt charger i am using is a Thunder Power 610C. It can charge 1-6 Cell lipo. I've been charging 2S to 3S 5000mAh pack, and I was able to charge at 5.0 amp. However, i'm charging a 6S 5000mAh Turnigy lipo, and the charger would only let me set the amp at 4.0 amp max instead of 5.0amp. So, with this setting. Will the batt still charge fully?

Yes it will fully charge. you will just charge at less than 1c. to charge that pack at 1c you would need a charger that can do 126watts.

The higher the amp you charge at the faster it will charge.
The amount of amps you charge out does no determine how much the battery is going to get charged.

The more amps you throw at it, the faster it will charge, the hotter the pack it self will get.
If you charge it at a slower amp setting it will last longer as well when you are out running your boat.

Guys, Thanks for the infos. The 6S pack was pre charged at 23.1V. I got it fully charged to 24.6V, which is 4.16V per cell. Does that sound about right?

Yes that looks fine. 4.2 per cell is full charge. Somtimes mine come in a hair over or under. So it look good 2 me.
