The L motors are really too small for 14 cells. The Bandit S can run pretty fast - a club member ran an 8XL in his on 12 cells and it was mid-40s with over 2 minutes of run time (all he tried) and probably not over 80 amps. The 10XL would work well I believe. Amp draw as usual is controlled by the prop you use and the boat setup.

well im just sport running, mostly just fast passes back and forth.....no oval really...... i know prop is the biggest thing for amp draw....... im really just wanting a good sport boat that can reach 40 or more....... i want to run 12-14 cells...... sjfe its a 30" cat......... i really enjoyed my origional setup....got 5 or more min of runtime with 3000mah 7 cell packs.......but speed was only in the mid to high 30s..... maybe a the 8 or 9 xl is my best bet60% of the time... it works every time!Comment
