Different guys use different things but i would suggest using a few coats of finishing epoxy in/outside and paint over it normally...

Ok UB, a silly question, Can you get finishing epoxy in a can? and if so where? I live in an apartment (temporarly) so have no compressor, but I do have a binks spray gun...not that that matters anymore but am up for any suggestions? P.S. I miss my Garage...And thanks again!

yes you can, it's made by Z-poxy, they come smaller sizes... your local hobby shop will have it r a Michael's

I am not sure about the policy on direct links on this forum, but you can Google "Z-Poxy Finishing Epoxy Resin" and you'll find what I am talking about.

Steven (here) may even sell it, give it a looksey.

An update on Holc hulls. I have heard there are a few over in Europe who will make you a copy of theirs. However, they are fairly expensive. If you have real interest and the money, I'd be happy to research this more. Otherwise, I'd say watch for one and keep it in mind for the future.

There are plenty other riggers to have fun with and if you want something special, contact one of the custom builders here in the U.S. You'd be surprised how many advancements have been made from everyone's efforts in these designs.

....then we crash one at crazy speeds and have to go back to the drawing board.

Hey Meniscus, I know what you mean, Finding a "Quality" Fabricator/builder/designer is hard to find sometimes, Working in aerospace for awhile has taught me some cool tricks which are very helpful in the model building and designing of these fine machines...They are or can be a work of art. I'll stick with my lil insane and she how she goes, She'll be ready in a week for the maiden. Should be interesting, I'll keep ya posted! I appreciate your input in finding an HOLC, They (so I'm told) are very good/fast riggers. Finding out though that glass kits are much faster to get in the water than wood... as I'm learning... TAL Johnny

John, I will def try to be there, what time will you be there and do you have your key to get in yet?
Without the key it'll be a waisted trip if nobody's there. Even i don't have the key yet, Mark has proven illusive so far
I guess I have to talk to someone else at Seismic Amigos to get me one.
