Australian Chewing Sticks to the Rescue !

As a "closet" scale model devotee, I wanted to attach the wings to my Vegas/Elam in such a way that they'd breakaway in a flip [ yes they float- sink tested them]. Aerodynamic downside notwithstanding, I love they way they look . Found some Australian Chewing Sticks in the kitchen drawer ; { have no idea when or where I got them} and force-fit them in the mounting holes. Should work as "breakaway pins" I hope.
Strange items for sure; maybe someday our friends "Down Under" will discover chewing GUM ; We've had it here in the States for years and comes in all kinds of flavors

Gum??? I normally find that on the bottom of my shoes!

Can't say I've ever seen those sticks before, but I hope they work for you. I like the scale look too, and fitting wings is still a pest. What is the connection at the deck? I don't know much about the Vegas wing.

Stop Grabbing Handfuls of Cheap Restaurant Toothpicks — Carry Your Own Fine Australian Birchwood Chewing Sticks Instead!
Genuine birchwood sticks won't fray and splinter like cheap restaurant handouts. But they will improve dental hygiene between flossing! Treated with Australian Tea Tree oil (prized for its medicinal properties, and used to kill bacteria in the mouth before dental surgery), these chewing sticks will freshen breath and improve hygiene by killing oral bacteria.

Tony's boat will not be just good looking but healthy too.
Several boats in various stages of destruction

Check under the table, should be some there as well...

Grooves under wing fit into raised portion on the deck ; normally through-bolt but could tear up something in a high speed "acrobatic" maneuver

If only they would cure you of the heartbreak of excessive flatulance, and rid you of those pesky garden slugs as well !!

Prop, we make these at our Kangaroo Cheese Making factory as a side line. Our sticks not only cure all the above but are great on Genital warts and the Pox as can be attested to by Paddy.

While not wishing to be disrespectful to my Down Under FE bretherin, I must disagree. Further research indicates that the Australian Chewing Stick was first invented and produced by a semi-obscure Australian bushman; one
Nigel " Stinky" Ffeffingwell while taking a "health -rejuvenating" dip in a tub of Fosters with his pet Beaver, "Chewy" who was observed gnawing on Mr. Ffeffingwells exposed, overgrown toenails.

Tony, you are the best. I think the Aussies are lost for words or whatever they try to speak and be understood by civilised people
