    Shortening servo wires

Hey this is something I have wondered and never attempted in fear I could cause a glitch. Is it ok to cut and shorten servo or esc to rx wires? I would obviously cut strip and solder and re-shrink the 3 wires individually but for some reason I thought someone once told me it wall cause glitching cause the length is that for a reason. The reason im asking now is cause the esc wires to rx are about 10" and the "Y" harness is about 20" I only need about 6"! THANKS

I have shortened and even lengthened servo and esc to rx cables before with no issue at all.
I use Hitec and Futaba AM systems.
    See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

I agree with Simon, the length of servo and receiver wires is not critical as they are not receiving an external transmission like the antenna, they are simply carrying voltage or a signal wave from A to B.
I also have lengthened and shortened these with no detrimental result.
Just be careful to have good connections so that you don't introduce faults or increased resistance to the circuit.

PS - No sign of your 700 SC yet Simon, will check P O Box on Monday morning.
