Receiver Battery, Confused as hell

I am running a hydra 240 and a neu 2215 with a futaba 3pm radio, do i need a reciever pack? if so what type or can i add a bec?
Not sure what to do

Big motors and high voltage usually run separate receiver packs.
Disconnect the red wire from the ESC to the RX. Then use a 5-cell NiMH pack with its own switch between the pack and RX.
I use this set up on every boat except my SV27 powered boats. There I use the built in BEC on the ESC.

Just a lead to plug the Rx battery in. My charger had on in the package deal.
My prop hasn't been wet in a while.
