Sonicwake V2 range not very far

I recently got a sonicwake v2 and the boat is out of range at about 300 feet. Is this normal? I had a MG24 and it would go closer to 500 feet. What is the normal operating range on most RTR boats?

it all depends on your radio system. I can tell you radiolink is cheap and feature rich and I have yet to ever reach the limits with it. Ive tried out to 150 yards and it was on 4/5 bars of reception (-61dbi).

Make sure you have the last inch or so of the silver end fully extended, not folded over. If the silver end is gone, so is your signal reception. Then ask Horizon Hobby if there is a replacement for the antenna.
