    I?m debating on leaving the antenna wire inside the hull or outside the hull. I plan on using a 2.4ghz. Is it still reliable to use it with the antenna inside the hull? I?ve read online people have no issues with this route.

    Partly depends on the material of the hull. If CF, antenna needs to be outside the hull. As for other materials, hopefully those with more knowledge than I have will chime in soon.

      Only the last inch of a 2.4 gig antenna is active, and on my race boats I always installed a short tube to position the active antenna a few inches above the deck. I’m not certain that this was necessary, but I never had a radio issue doing this. YMMV, but to me the added reliability outweighed the simplicity of an internal antenna.
