I'm new to the forums and want to share some of the things I've learned the hard way. I have a few gt2b radios for trucks and cars and they work good. So I put one in my Genesis thinking it would be fine there too. Wrong. On 4s the range was 200' at best and 6s was half that at best. After much frustration I bought a airtronics mx v solved all my problems. The gt2b picks up too much noise I think.

GT2B user here. FYI I started getting short little cut-outs from the motor. They started happening at longer distances but then eventually began happening at closer ranges. Messed around with an external BEC and eliminated the LVC but that didn't make any difference. I must have damaged the antenna on the receiver but I can't be sure. Opened the case and it was still connected to the board fine, also seems to work fine in an RC car. But anyway I swapped to the GR3F version receiver and works perfect again. The F supposedly has a little better antenna with an additional 100' of range. They made it so that it can take 8.4v as well so I use a little 2S lipo and did away with BEC. A 1,000mah lipo weighs like 2oz I think.
If you hadn't already bought another radio I definitely would have tried a GR3F receiver if you didn't.Comment
