I've never had so many receivers fail since I've been in this hobby. Mr200 and mr3000 are just not very reliable in my experience. Ugh. It started when I first got into this hobby. Had a shockwave that came with an mr200 and it failed on my second outing. Spektrum did send me another one tho. Since then I've had several fail. Most of them for no reason. So here's why I'm aggravated...
The other night I was hooking everything back up in my mono, plugged in the power lead to the bec into the receiver. That was straight 22.2v. My fault. So I grab my only spare. An expensive mr3000. Hook it up, works fine. Great. Head to the lake today and I plugged up the batts and it worked for a second on the servo part but the Esc would not link. Then nothing. All it does now is get warm when I plug power into it. Of course I checked the voltage to it and it was 5.5v. Wasn't reversed. Ugh, I'm quite disappointed. When they work they work. But just seem to fail randomly. Anyone else have these issues? I have two orange off brand ones I've been testing as an alternative and they seem more reliable. And cheaper. I may have to switch over, at least if they fail It won't hurt my feelings as much. When I was into cars I can't remember one receiver failing on me. Was a different name too.
