    Spektrum MR200 receiver discontinued

Just browsing and realized the reasonably priced MR200 marine receiver is no longer available. This only leaves the MR3000 as the lone receiver which is twice the price.
The real question is how soon is the MR3000 going to disappear.

The new SR "DSMR" series actually have a better range on water than the MRs do, or so I'm told. I've tested them and at least for racing distances this seems to be true. I've even tested the SR410 vs. the MR200 in a car and the SR far out-ranged it on the ground.

Price for the SR310 is a pretty reasonable $44.99...

    Key Features of note:

    Frequency-agile DSMR™ 2.4GHz technology
Outputs for steering, throttle and one auxiliary channel
Perfect for land or marine applications
    Fuel-proof case
    Reliakote waterproof coating on electronics
Compatible with DSMR and DSM2® surface transmitters

So doing away with the dual antenna then? Mmm not that I have ever had an issue.

Fyi....I've used a single antenna spektrum receiver in oneof my carbon boats and it worked just fine. Range seemed to be as far as I could see. So I see no worries.

I hear you. The ones that had problem were developed before the dual antenna marine series. They had a different protocol and didn't fair well on the water. Also some of the sport receivers that were supplied in Losi's RTRs were very dismal, their range was so short that they can't go beyond a 20 car spaces in a parking lot. But all this was in the past.
