    Opinions on radios

Whats a decent radio that wont break the bank for a P-spec Sport hydro? Im hoping to start on my Whiplash 20 soon, and all I have is Futaba FM stuff for my nitro boats, and Spectrum 2.4gig stuff for my electric aircraft stuff....... I seem to hear good and not so good stuff about Flisky stuff...don't know anything about em myself! Many Thanks! Bill

What does "won't break the bank" mean? How important is reliability, range and quality to you? Why not just get another Futaba FM receiver for you P-LSH? One club member still uses his Futaba PK FM radio with his current Q and T boats and has no problems. I'd prefer that to a FlySky or Tactic.

Mike Ball races with his airplane stick radio, just use that and you are fine. If you have experience with stick, try it, some people love it.

FWIW I run a FlySky GT3-2B and never had a glitch or hitch ever but, others have.

When I upgraded from my Controllaire single channel radio in ca. 1976 I went to a stick transmitter, and the next two radios I used were sticks. Now I find the wheel radios suit me better, but many of the top 2-lap FE records were set with stick radios......

I've not had any problems with my gt3-2b or a gt2 before. Our club pres. still uses futaba 2er 29mhz am gear. If what you have works use it.
