Transmitter and receiver question

I have the Tactic 2.4 GHz 2 channel and the Tactic 324 receiver.
I have run it fine, but yesterday it appeared to keep losing the link. I would remove the power to the receiver and then reconnect and it would re-establish the link. Similar thing happened before and both times I was around lots of yachts.
Can ambient EMI jam the signal? Is that common around yachts? Can I switch to a different frequency? Any insight would be helpful.

The 2.4 radios automatically switch frequencies, you have no control over it. It would be uncommon but not impossible to have interference from private sources like a "yacht". More likely there was a low voltage condition or a physical interruption of the signal. What boat is the Tactic in, and where in the boat? Is it close to the deck or the hull bottom? Run by BEC or receiver pack?
