Problem setting up stock receiver and radio on Atomik C1 34.

If you own a Venom King of Shaves, Segad, or Atomik C1, please help! I just got this boat as a gift for a buddy. It's in almost mint condition. The radio that comes with it is a Venom VR3S. The manual only has three small pages that cover setting it up. I've followed the instructions exactly and can't get the system to work properly. I'm able to bind the receiver and radio no problem. The steering works exactly as it's supposed to, but the throttle will not work. There is a Y harness connecting the dual speed controls. I have this plugged into the prescribed port on the receiver. I can only get one of the props to spin slowly when i adjust the throttle trip and endpoints, but that's it. I have tried all the other ports. I've tried swapping the Y harness input plugs from the ESC's. I've tried reprogramming a ton of times. I've tried. When i fip the servo reversing switches on the radio, BOTH props scream instantly and i have to kill the power. I've tried adjusting the trims and endpoints to see if it was a setting issue, but no luck. Anyone have this happen or know what I can do different? THANK YOU!

You need to calibrate the tx to the esc's first,
And you may need to reverse the throttle trim switch like you already did.
Do you have the program card for the esc because it makes setting them up a lot easier.
Hear is the manual for all seaking/turnigy esc.

Also try plugging in one side at a time. Are the results the same for each side? And don't try to program the esc's at the same time. Unplug one from the Y adaptor and do them individually. I had one esc programmed differently in my c-1 at one time and it caused all kinds of problems. Also had two of those radios. One worked great, the other I had wouldn't bind and had short range. Sometimes I think that radios with too many options and settings are just a headache and can cause
