Binding Mr200 to Dx3r issues, Binds to sr200 no issues

Hi once again, Sorry about all of my questions.

I have a dx3r and a mr200 that I am trying to bind together. I just cannot get them to bind, It works first go with the sr200. I have read online the earlier dx3rs are not marine compatible. Is there anywhere to force the bind or do I just need to buy a dx3r pro?

That's what I thought when I bought the receiver but was advised other wise. Also what you have said and a few threads on the net state the same thing.
Is there a way around it?

I understand it can be done but would cost more then just buying dx3r pro or dx3s etc...
