Two ESC connection to receiver for twin mono?

I am currently building a 20 inch twin mono and have a question about receiver connection.

I am using 2 Birdie receiver that both have BEC. I read on other forums that I should eliminate one of the BEC by cutting one of the BEC wire in order to prevent the receiver burning from over powering.

I will be using one of those Y-harness to connect the 2 BEC in parralel and then connect to the Receiver. If the 2 BEC are connected in parrallel then the voltage should not double, isn't it? Would that be ok for the receiver?

Here are some pics of the twin mono hull I'm building.

    Thanks.

    nice build

take one of the esc's connector and just REMOVE it from the plug and fold it back and tape it
to the wire lead from the ESC. don't CUT it off.
That way the OTHER esc will provide the power to the receiver and rudder servo.

do NOT run both red esc wires to the receiver.
