Spektrum Dx3 programming

Havent run anything for a while over a year now. Getting ready to run my micro Hydro and a New in box RC Truck (had it sitting for a couple of years in the box). I used to have a much simpler spektrun DX2 transmitter but upgraded to a DX3 (bought used on Offshore) and am now trying to program it.

Talk about confusing my head is spinning trying to read the instruction book.
Any tips for setting the DX3 up?

I've managed to set up two models on different channels (model memory)-- one for my primary boat and one for my rescue boat. That way when I send out the rescue boat the primary boat won't receive any transmitter inputs.

I have not needed to change any of the advanced settings like channel mixing, etc....

I also figured out the timer functions.

What help to you need?

Hey Jim,
I'm in the same boat
I just programed my SV27 and had a tought time with the ESC finding neutral. I am going to attemp to put an MR3000 receiver in my HOR cat. From what I have learned, you might need to adjust the throttle trim to get the ESC to arm properly. I think it will depend on what ESC you are using.
My DX3S worked perfect on my SV. Used the SR300 receiver.
